Company was created in Radebeul in 1982, by Forrest Brothers (J. Forrest and H. Forrest) with name of Forrest Brothers Manufacturing GmbH in their small family workshop, which actually was a car garage. We hanged our company name to: FORDURA Recycling Tools Germany GmbH. In the year of 1995, the company name changed into Fordura Recycling Tools Germany GmbH, setting the foundation for the Fordura Group.
Today, Fordura Recycling Tools Germany GmbH serves as the global research and development center and the technological heart of the Fordura Group. Positioned strategically in Germany, this center is pivotal in providing cutting-edge technological support and innovations that ensure the superior quality of Fordura knives. Fordura expanded into China in 2008, establishing a base in Chongqing city to utilize the region’s economic growth and cost benefits. This marked the beginning of shifting production to China. By 2010, the establishment of Fordura (China) Technology Co Ltd as a global R&D center further solidified this transition, and in 2012, the headquarters were officially moved to China, fully adopting the model of “designed in Germany & manufactured in China.”
